Gotta keep writing!
Started working on book 5 tonight. It has been so long since I looked at this document. I am not sure if what I have so far is interesting enough. It is hard to write from the POV of a little girl and make it enticing. It comes of as more cute than anything.
This story is a must for this series, though. A trek through the desert to an ancient temple leads to the loss of magic for all mankind. The ending will probably be my best yet.
My “short” story is finished, just short of 10k at 9906 words, but that will easily hop over the 10k mark during editing.
So exciting! I will now have two books to release relatively close to one another, if not at the same time! This book will be free, by the way ;)
In other great new, our very own Esera had a baby girl, born on August 6th! Her baby is so cute! Don’t worry though, even with a new baby, Esera has every intention to keep writing.
I spent the night doing word sprints on my IRC channel and ended up writing 2000 words, bringing my new story up to 7130 words, and transforming it into a novelette. So much for small. Blew that 5k goal right out of the water. The story is nearing the end though, but I am not sure how much editing will trim or add to the story when the time comes.
Sorry for the lack of updates. We have been so busy lately, myself with working on my latest short (which is half finished) and working with my new IRC community and its bot.
I believe L.M. has some updates, but I will leave them for him to make.
My new short has been almost entirely written during writing sprints, which are awesome for inspiration. If you are having problems with a scene or writers block, a sprint is sure to break though it every time. My new short story is definitely is NOT going to be 2k words as I thought, considering it is already at 2650, but I think it is half finished. I wish I could show you a preview of it, but it is too rough yet :P
As for my 3rd book, there have been a few setbacks that were out of my hands, but it should be ready by mid September if all goes well from here. Keep watching for updates.
After the 3rd is published, I plan to go through and get all of my books up on CreateSpace, so those that want physical copies can purchase them.
